Concept art - Zelda : Breath of the wild

Grégoire a réalisé ce concept art dans le cadre d'un projet de groupe lors de sa 3e année de formation à BRASSART Bordeaux.
Ces travaux sont donc la contribution de Grégoire à un travail de groupe lors du cours de concept art.
Le concept art, c'est un type d'illustration que l'on utilise afin de traduire une idée, une atmosphère. Il permet de conceptualiser les divers éléments qui vont constituer un projet d'animation 3D ou de jeux vidéo comme par exemple les décors, les accessoires, les personnages, les objets.
Ici, les étudiants de BRASSART Bordeaux devaient créer un DLC fictif du jeu Zelda : Breath of the wild.
DLC est un acronyme pour "DownLoadable Content", Il s'agit donc de contenus téléchargeables qui constituent une extension d'un jeu vidéo.
Pour réaliser ce travail, les étudiants en design se sont inspirés des cultures méso-américaines telles que les Aztèques ou les Mayas.
Grégoire a réalisé le concept d'une divinité ainsi que le temple qu'elle occupe. Les matériaux naturels ont été au centre de ce concept. On retrouve dans ses recherches différents minéraux comme l'obsidienne et la turquoise ainsi que certaines matières animales telles que des plumes, des écailles, des os ou des peaux. Concernant les recherches et concepts d'environnement cela se traduit par la présence d'ossements de dragons ou la présence d'un perchoir.
