The general framework of the system
The process of validating acquired experience requires the candidate 8 to 12 months of preparation. It is made up of 6 main steps:
- Self-assessment, thanks to the skills repository, to validate your choice of professional certification.
-
Submission of the
eligibility application file, which allows the eligibility committee to assess the application and verify that the targeted certification aligns with the candidate’s background. The committee may issue a favorable opinion or a refusal of eligibility.
- In the event of a positive acceptance decision, contact your VAE contact for an appointment: vae@brassart.fr
- Selection of the date to appear before the VAE jury and establishment of a work schedule. The VAE jury calendar is provided to the candidate once they are enrolled in the process.
- Writing the evidence file/validation file: to demonstrate that the acquired experience has enabled mastery of the skills required for the targeted certification. The candidate may choose to be supported in this process by an external organization.
- VAE Jury: Impartial, the VAE jury is composed of at least two people and includes professionals who are experts in the targeted certification. They review and assess the evidence file and interview the candidate. After deliberation, the jury’s decision is communicated to the candidate within 15 days following the oral presentation.
Three outcomes are possible:
- Full validation: the jury validates the experience and acquired skills and approves the awarding of the targeted professional certification.
- Partial validation: the jury grants the candidate part of the professional certification but requires additional training, the writing of a thesis, and/or the acquisition of further experience in a specific area. A new validation request can be submitted within a maximum of 5 years following the jury’s deliberation.
- No validation is granted.
